Man United to accept offers for first-team attacker who has never scored for club

Manchester United are preparing for an important summer transfer window.

The Red Devils, after welcoming Sir Jim Ratcliffe to the club following his successful investment, are preparing to overhaul their playing squad. Several changes are expected at the end of the season; both incomings and outgoings.

And although there are multiple players set to depart, including Donny van de Beek, another in line to leave in the summer is winger Facundo Pellistri.

Despite being tipped to become one of the club’s most exciting wide-attackers, Pellistri, 22, who joined from CA Penarol in 2020, has struggled to make it in English football.

Failing to score in 24 appearances for United, the Uruguayan has been made surplus to requirements by Erik Ten Hag, who recently allowed him to join Granada on loan until the end of the season.

And now, according to a recent report from Football Insider, should a club meet the Red Devils’ asking price, United’s hierarchy will not hesitate to sanction the 22-year-old’s sale in the summer.

Currently valued at around £10 million (TM), United will do well to recoup the £9 million they paid for him — even better if they can make a profit, although that seems very unlikely.

During his opening month with Granada, Pellistri, who has 18 months left on his deal at Old Trafford, has scored one and assisted one in his first three games.
