West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks.

Clubs like Manchester City are reportedly keen on signing the Brazilian midfielder and former West Ham player Frank McAvennie has now revealed to Football Insider that his head is likely to be turned if Manchester City come forward with a lucrative proposal to sign him. Similarly, the opportunity to join clubs like Real Madrid or Juventus will be difficult to turn down for the player.

“He looks like he’s really enjoying himself at West Ham.

“If an offer comes in from a bigger club, like Man City, Real Madrid or Juventus, they’re going to get him.

“His head will be turned because there’s no way he will refuse a big offer from a club like that.

“But I look at him and he’s enjoying himself.

Paqueta has been a key player for West Ham since joining the club and he has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the league.

There is no doubt that he deserves to play for the biggest clubs in the world and the opportunity to join a club like Manchester City can be quite tempting. He will be able to play alongside world-class players at the Premier League club and they would provide him with the platform to compete for major trophies.

It will be interesting to see if the Hammers can convince him to continue at the club beyond this summer.  He is a key player for them and his departure will certainly weaken them.
