An update has been provided about the future of Tottenham attacker Timo Werner.

The RB Leipzig forward joined the Premier League club in January on loan but his stay in North London could be extended.

The Germany international has no future at RB Leipzig, according to Sky Deutschland.

The 28-year-old is reportedly enjoying his time in north London and would like to remain in the Premier League, according to BILD.

Tottenham want to make Werner’s signing permanent

According to Sky Deutschland, Werner and the North London club are interested in turning the loan agreement into a permanent one this summer.

The Germany international is reportedly a popular part of Ange Postecoglou’s team and has adjusted well to life at the club.

Postecoglou’s team could sign the former Chelsea attacker for just £15m in the summer transfer window.

Werner in action for Tottenham

In eight Premier League games for Spurs, Werner has two goals and two assists.

After a difficult time at Chelsea in his previous spell in England, Werner is looking like a different player this time.

Werner has been impressive for Tottenham

Werner’s ability to make space and his devastating pace is something that helps Tottenham and in particular Heung-min Son.

Signing him for £15m would be a no-brainer for Spurs as they could add a good attacking player to their squad in a bargain deal.

Werner has led the line for Leipzig and Chelsea in the past, but he has only played as a left winger for the North London club thus far.

After scoring 23 goals in 89 outings for the Blues, he departed Stamford Bridge in 2022 to return to Leipzig.

Despite having a contract until 2026, Werner is likely to leave the Bulls in the summer, even if Tottenham decide not to purchase him, given his uncertain future at RB Leipzig.
