At the age of 50, Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is expected to become a father for the third time, according to sources.
The 36-year-old lingerie model Zara Charles and the retired Man United footballer, who have been together since 2021, are rumoured to be expecting their first child together later this year.
While Giggs’ partner Zara is already a mother of one, Giggs has two children from a prior marriage.
There have reportedly been rumours that the couple’s close friends are thrilled and excitedly anticipating the baby’s birth.
According to insiders, Stacey, Ryan’s ex-wife who filed for divorce in 2017, has also approved, as have their kids.
A source told The Sun:
‘Ryan was nervous about what his kids would think but they’ve got to know Zara over the last few years and really like her. They’re happy because they know he’s happy.’
‘But they’ve joked that he might struggle with the early mornings and lack of sleep. Ryan and Zara are thrilled at the prospect of becoming parents again, they have a very solid, loving relationship and are building a long-term future together.’
19-year-old daughter Libby and 17-year-old son Zach, who plays football for Sheffield United’s academy, are Giggs’ two children from his marriage to Stacey Cooke.
The former Wales manager and Zara have been dating since 2021.
During Giggs’ assault trial, which began after he was accused of beating his ex-girlfriend Kate Greville in November 2020, Zara stood behind Giggs.
In addition to entering a not guilty plea to charges of controlling or coercive behavior towards his ex-girlfriend over a three-year period, Giggs denied physically attacking Ms. Greville and her sister, Emma, during a fight at his Worsley, Greater Manchester, home on November 1, 2020.
Man United legend has returned to football
Giggs is back in football, this time as Salford’s director of football.
Along with other Man United legends Phil Neville, Gary Neville, David Beckham, Nicky Butt, and Paul Scholes, the Man United great is a co-owner of the team.
Giggs’ position at Salford is his first in the football industry since he left his position as manager of the national team in June 2022.
The club is owned 40% by Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim, with the remaining 10% being owned by each of the Man United legends mentioned above.
