Report claims Arsenal will have to pay close to €100 million for 24-goal star

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Newcastle United striker Alexander Isa at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old has established himself as one of the best strikers in the Premier League and his performances have caught the attention of the North London club.

Arsenal need to sign a quality striker in the summer and the Swedish international would be the ideal acquisition for them. The 24-year-old has 24 goals in all competitions and he could prove to be a major upgrade on Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian international has not been at his best this season and he has found the back of the net just four times in the league.

Arsenal need more quality in the final third if they want to win major trophies. Signing a reliable finisher should be their top priority heading into the summer transfer window.

Can Arsenal sign Alexander Isak?

Ideally, Newcastle will not want to sell the player but they are under financial pressure and they might need to balance the books. Selling Isak will help raise a substantial amount of money.

According to Fichajes, the striker is valued close to €100 million and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal are prepared to pay that kind of money for him. Although it would be a massive investment, the player has the ability to justify the outlay in the coming seasons.

Isak is capable of leading the line and he is versatile enough to slot into the role of a left-sided forward. He could be an asset for Arsenal going forward.

The Swedish international is still relatively young and he could improve further with coaching and experience. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal decide to follow up on their interest with an official proposal in the summer.

  1. They can’t afford to buy him.the starting price will be well over 100 million.Anyway do u think Newcastle need the money.
They might buy Rice if Bruno leaves

  2. Newcastle would have to pay Arsenal £60 million for Ramsdale. So if Newcastle want £80million for Isak then a swap deal could happen with Ramsdale plus £20 million. That’s a lot of money for Isak, but with a swap deal it would be fare to both sides, with Newcastle probably getting the better deal out of the swap. Or a straight swap with no cash if Arsenal throw in Tierney into the deal.

  3. 65 million should do it. The Geordie fans will be ok with that as they make a tidy profit to balance their books and avoid a points deduction and relegation next year

  4. Isak has a worrying injury record compared to Gyokeres who has played throughout the season. In addition, Gyokeres has a better record in play participation as per the number of assists he provides.
    Why should Arsenal prefer Isak?
For me it’s either Gyokeres or Sesko. They’re cheaper options.
Another idea is just to reinforce the midfield (2 midfielders) and defence and allow the role to Havertz.
Sell Nketia and promote Obi to first team and give him minutes gradually for his development. He has consistently demonstrated his readiness to play at a higher level and teams in Europe are ready to snatch him and provide him with that opportunity. He scored a hatrick again yesterday.

Let Jesus stay as a back-up in the wings. Sell all others that the manager is not using.
