Matias Fernandez-Pardo has been linked with a move away from Lille this summer.

The 21-year-old was excellent for the French outfit last season, and Arsenal are keeping tabs on him. He had 15 goal contributions last season.

Fernandez-Pardo has also been linked with Liverpool recently.

Matias Fernandez-Pardo to join Arsenal?

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Arsenal are interested in signing the player, and Lille would sanction his departure for €70 million. It remains to be seen whether Arsenal is willing to spend that kind of money on the young attacker.

Even though he’s a tremendous talent, he is largely unproven at the highest level, and the asking price is quite high. The French outfit will have to be more reasonable in their demands for the move to go through.

Fernandez-Pardo can operate as a number nine as well as a winger. He will help create opportunities for his teammates and goals. Arsenal need more quality in the attacking unit. They need a dynamic attacker, and the Belgian could be ideal.

The opportunity to join Arsenal will be exciting for the young attacker. It would be a major step up in his career.

The player is reportedly open to a transfer this summer, and it will be interesting to see whether any club is willing to meet his asking price. Arsenal are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and they could provide him with the platform to fight for major trophies. The youngster will certainly hope that the two clubs can finalise an agreement in the coming weeks.

Newcastle United have submitted an offer to sign Fernandez-Pardo as well.

Arsenal are clearly looking to bring in a striker this summer, and they have also been linked with Victor Osimhen and Julian Alvarez. Both players are likely to cost a lot more, but they also have more proven pedigree and experience.

  1. He has the pace and tools, but he is inconsistent with a below par rating of 6.4 with 7.0 being average.
His STATs show a goal every 3.5 games, which is below the level of elite and he has even worse European form.

No better than what we already have and not an upgrade.
He is young at 21 and would be a long term investment in the hope that he would improve, but one would value him at under £40m and a risk of not making the grade just yet, maybe in the future.
Arsenal should be aiming higher and better looking at elite players only.
