Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak released a statement on Tuesday night expressing his concerns about broken promises at the club.

The striker wants a transfer away from the club this summer with Liverpool linked with a move for the Sweden international attacker.

Isak has repeatedly made it clear that he wants to leave the club but Newcastle United are unwilling to change their stance.

Alexander Isak only wants Liverpool move

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Isak has made his intentions absolutely clear, his future lies with Liverpool.

While speculation has swirled all summer regarding his next destination, Romano reports that Isak’s mind has been made up since July.

The Swedish attacker has communicated directly that Liverpool is the only club he wants to join. Despite being linked with a series of potential moves, including interest from Saudi giants Al Hilal, Isak has not entertained discussions with any other team.

ven Newcastle’s attempts to explore different transfer scenarios have been met with firm resistance, as Isak remains focused solely on a switch to Anfield.

For Liverpool, this is a significant development. The club has been weighing its options in attack following the departures and reshuffling within Arne Slot’s squad.

Newcastle now face a critical decision. They are determined to keep their star striker, but Isak’s insistence on joining Liverpool will place pressure on negotiations.

Romano notes that Liverpool are fully aware of the player’s stance and are expected to intensify talks in the coming weeks as they look to strike a deal.

The Magpies are still working with the hope of finding a solution with the striker but it appears like he has made up his mind and he is not going to compromise now.

  1. That’s because they are the only club in the race as they have tapped him up, all other clubs have approached Newcastle first to be told he’s not for sale while Liverpool approached the player via his agent which is their standard transfer policy.

    1. What a load of rubbish you’re spouting, he wants to play for a club with ambition not some yoyo club like Newcastle

  2. Newcastle have proved they are completely useless in the transfer market. The club has no ambition hence the reason decent players don’t want to go there. More importantly their top striker has “seen the writing on the wall” and wants to bale. Broken promises come back to bite you. Paul Michell has a lot to answer for

  3. All we need is a ‘fall guy’ and there are 2 ready made candidates in Isak’s agent and Mirchell. Isak apologises, fires his agent, then rejoins his team mates who, according to Tonali, would welcome him back.
There is no way Isak will not play this season in a world cup year.
Any other outcome puts his career in tatters.
He is NOT a guaranteed starter at L’pool….

  4. you are talking shit mate you haven’t got clue .
isak will do the same to Liverpool when it’s time to .Newcastle should only sell him to non premiership side. Liverpool doesn’t come in for with the right fee Isak will rot in the reserves and international career is over
