Some very weird things are happening to ickle Shaun Wright Phillips. Firstly he is kicked to the curb by ruthless Big Phil Scolari, then his old flame Man City start sniffing around, as do Everton. Both clubs are then rebuffed by his agent who says he doesn’t want to leave London and, in a final twist, his stepdad Ian Wright says that the “agent” who said he didn’t want to leave isn’t who he says he is. Eh?

Everton’s stalwart fansite reports that Ian Wright was on TalkSport this very afternoon expressing his bemusement at ickle Shaun’s “agent”:

A Wayne Lindsey, claiming to be the agent of Shaun Wright-Phillips says his client has no wish to join Everton or Manchester City.

Ian Wright, Shaun’s dad, said on TalkSport this afternoon, however, that he’s never even heard of Wayne Lindsey, so the plot thickens. Wright, the former Arsenal striker, said that there are four clubs involved and that “it’s up to Shaun”. (Toffeeweb)
