Xabi Alonso- Real Madrid to Chelsea
The Spanish midfielder has been one of the most consistent performers for Real Madrid throughout Jose Mourinho’s time at the club, being a constant fixture on the Los Blancos team sheet. However, now that Mourinho has left the club, many have speculated that Alonso could follow him out of the Bernabeu. It is believed that Mourinho is keen to bring Alonso to Chelsea this summer and the Portuguese coach is desperate to find a central midfielder that he can build his new look team around. Alonso is one of his first choices and the midfielder could be available for a relatively small amount, £10 million.
Although Alonso is 31 and coming to the end of his career, Mourinho will know exactly what he is getting from the Spaniard and the midfielder himself would be more than happy to return to the Premier League following his successful spell at Liverpool.
