Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur all began Boxing Day outside of the Premier League’s top four places, but the trio are expected to be the main contenders in the race for fourth spot.
Southampton, West Ham United and Swansea City may also come into the picture if they maintain their impressive form in 2015.
However, the Saints, Hammers and Swans are big outsiders.
