The Anfield side will apparently beat Tottenham in pursuit of the 21 year old Baggies star with a £23.5m bid next month.
Brendan Rodgers is keen to strengthen his attack in light of the failed efforts of summer captures Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli as well as having Daniel Sturridge out injured and may well look to bring in some additional firepower in the January transfer window.
Berahino started the season well though has gone nine Premier League matches without a goal so a big money move is perhaps something of a risky purchase to consider.
Liverpool’s American owners may be ready to fund such a move as they seek to retain their spot in the top four with the Merseyside outfit having started the season in an average fashion.
