Real now interested in signing Ivorian international Wilfried Bony.

Real Madrid could end the hopes that Premier League trio Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have of signing prolific Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony, report the Mail, as the European champions look set to enter the race for the powerful striker who is believed to be valued at around £25 million.

Real are looking for new striking options to compete with French international Karim Benzema for the striking role in Carlo Ancelotti’s side, with the former Lyon man also regularly linked with a move away from the Bernabeu, and Manchester United loanee Javier Hernandez potentially set for an early Old Trafford return after a lack of form in La Liga for the Mexican.

Bony, who has been a revelation for Swansea since signing from Eredivisie outfit Vitesse Arnhem in the summer of 2013, is the leading Premier League goalscorer during the calendar year of 2014 and has, unsurprisingly, attracted the interest of bigger clubs than the Swans on account of his fine form.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are both believed to be keen on bringing him in as their new main men up front, whilst Premier League title holders Manchester City are also known to be monitoring the situation ahead of a possible move, although Bony is set to miss much of January whilst away at the African Nations Cup.
