Anfield side keen on Britannia Stadium goalie.
Liverpool are reportedly on ‘red alert’ as Stoke City keeper Asmir Begovic appears to edge closer to a Britannia Stadium exit according to the Daily Express.
The 27 year old Potters star, who is considered by many to be one of the best custodian in the Premier League, was dropped on the weekend as Mark Hughes elected to give his other keepers a chance to impress.
This has heightened speculation that the £15m rated Bosnian may leave Stoke City and is seen by Brendan Rodgers as a possible replacement for Simon Mignolet.
The Anfield number one started the season poorly but has improved since the turn of the year but Begovic would still represent an improvement on the Belgian.
Begovic is into his sixth season at Stoke City and may be ready for a fresh challenge though Liverpool may struggle to land the former Wigan Athletic man given that Real Madrid and Arsenal are also said to be tracking the goalkeeper.
