Notorious criminal Stephen ‘The Devil’ French pictured sitting with current Liverpool stars

Liverpool fans were given a surprise this week when notorious criminal Stephen ‘The Devil’ French was pictured sitting alongside a crop of current Liverpool stars during their 1-0 win over Bournemouth in the Capital One Cup, the Metro reports.

The Liverpool Echo gave French the moniker ‘The Devil’ because of his long history in allegedly taxing and torturing drug dealers during a long criminal career.

French was hit with jail time as recently as 2013 for a ‘city centre gun showdown’ where he pistol-whipped a businessman before ditching the imitation gun and machete after a money dispute, an incident that managed to close down Liverpool city centre, according to the Echo.

French was spotted sat alongside stars Mamadou Sakho, Christian Benteke and Emre Can, giving fans the bone chilling notion that their players are easier to get close to than first thought.

A man who wished to remain anonymous told the Liverpool Echo: “My 14-year-old son is at that match and there’s Stephen French who has said half a dozen people want to kill him.

“What if someone takes a shot at him?

“I think it’s disgusting he’s allowed to be there. Someone should tell Klopp.”
