Liverpool can triple 47-year-old manager’s wages as Reds eye Jurgen Klopp replacement

Liverpool have identified Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi as one of the candidates to replace Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season.

The Reds can triple his wages in the process if they decide to appoint him at Anfield.

As reported by L’Interista, journalist Enrico Camelio said that the Italian could be seriously considered by the Premier League club.

Klopp has announced he is going to leave the club at the end of the season and now the Merseyside club are actively looking at candidates to choose his successor.

Liverpool have identified manager targets

Xabi Alonso of Bayer Leverkusen and Roberto De Zerbi of Brighton have been named in the media as the favourites to take over at Liverpool.

Inzaghi could be one of the names in line to replace Klopp after his impressive work at Inter Milan.

The Italian reached the Champions League final last season only to lose to treble winners Manchester City.

This season, he is set to win the league with the Italian giants and currently sits 16 poinst ahead of second placed team in Serie A.

He has been praised by former players and football pundits for the brilliant work he has done at the San Siro, even if his team were knocked out of the Champions League this week.

Italian manager Inzaghi could be heading to Liverpool

And according to Camelio, who broke the news to TV Play on Twitch, that may bring him to Liverpool.

He said: “Don’t ask me about the team. It’s clearly not in Italy, I’ll give you two teams that give three times what Simone Inzaghi gets. One is Liverpool and one is Bayern Munich, one of the two is interested in Simone Inzaghi. And beware that Inter have to sell a star player, it’s already on the record.”

Replacing Klopp will be a monumental task for the Reds as the German has enjoyed a hugely successful tenure at Anfield.

He has managed to win all the trophies and made Liverpool a competitive force in world football.

Inzaghi can be good but his playing style is much different from Klopp and the fans at Anfield would take time to get used to of that.
