Key Man United star says he is “okay” after injury fears following Liverpool knock

Marcus Rashford has squashed any fears that he will be out of action or some time after picking up a knock in Man United’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Sunday.

The England star suffered the issue in the second half and signalled to the bench that he did not want to come off in the immediate aftermath. However, the 26-year-old could not continue and was replaced by Antony in the 66th minute of the match.

After the game, United manager Erik ten Hag said that he was unsure how long Rashford would be out, but was hopeful it would not be long.

“I’m not sure, but I don’t think it will be long-term,” the Dutch coach said via the Metro.

Rashford has now put any fears of him being out for a significant amount of time to bed as he responded to a fan on Instagram who asked if he was “okay”, with the forward responding with “I will be okay.”

Do Man United even need Marcus Rashford?

Man United travel to Bournemouth this weekend and it looks like Rashford will be part of the squad, but do the Manchester club even need the Englishman?

The 26-year-old has been terrible this season and many Man United fans wanted him out of the starting team before this latest setback. The England star was dropped for the Red Devils’ clash with Chelsea last week and it is clear that Ten Hag is not entirely happy with the player.

Rashford has featured 38 times for Manchester United this season and has only produced eight goals alongside five assists.

What is more worrying has been the winger’s attitude as he is often spotted strolling around the pitch and has been disciplined multiple times this season by Ten Hag.

The Englishman was sensational during the previous campaign and Man United fans will hope to see that player return very soon.
