Mohamed has reopened his bitter war-of-words with former side Club America, claiming the club still owes him a new car:

“Azcarraga [America’s director] promised me a car and then he did not buy it. He said each team member and each member of the club’s staff would get a car if we won the title”.

“The club then called my secretary and said that I will not receive the car because I did not attend their celebration dinner… I find that decision odd, right?” said Mohamed during a recent interview.

The dinner was to celebrate the side’s twelfth championship last December, but after all the problems with the board of directors Mohamed decided not to attend. He claimed that he was not the only one that didn’t attend, and that some players also took the same decision.

“To me, it did not seem right to go to the dinner because I had been told I was out of the club. It did not seem the most ethical thing to do. Many players did not attend either; the dinner was arranged for 30 people and only 10 or 12 players attended. But hey, if they did not give a car to the staff, after they promised they would, that was their own decision. I believe words are worth a lot. ” he added.
