It’s fair to say that when you sign a player for £32million for a player, fans have every right to expect them to be a top class addition.
After Christian Benteke almost single handedly saved Aston Villa from the drop last season, he seemed to be worth a punt at the next level up, so Liverpool pounced, believing that he would be the solution to their goalscoring problems.
However, despite a few goals here and there, he has struggled to replicate his best form and following today’s defeat to West Ham, he came in for some serious criticism from his own fans on social media.
