Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has said that he would like to play for Argentine giants Boca Juniors when the time comes for him to leave Old Trafford, the Daily Mirror reports.

However, he was only speaking in terms of possibilities as he also hinted that he would like to play for his first club Real Zaragoza again before he hangs up his boots.

The player’s father, Pedro Maria, is well known to Zaragoza fans, too, having played over 150 times for the club, where he remains as a technical director.

And it his in this role that he recruited player’s from Boca, therefore instigating an interest in the club from his son.

“Yes, I love Boca. Since childhood, when my father brought players from there,” Herrera said.

“If one day I get the chance to play in South America, I’d love to go to Boca, the biggest. But it is an idea, eh?

“I’m focused on my team. Ah, and with Marcos Rojo I have sometimes seen Estudiantes, which is his club.”
