David Ornstein has an exciting Arsenal transfer update for Gooners eagerly awaiting the arrival of Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira.
The BBC Sport journalist says a deal is in place for the Gunners to sign Torreira next week as a medical for him at the Emirates Stadium is described as ‘imminent’.

Torreira has been strongly linked with Arsenal for some time, with the 22-year-old now free to fly to London after Uruguay’s World Cup exit at the hands of France this afternoon.
Ornstein admits it is not yet clear if the Uruguay international will head straight to Arsenal after this defeat or return home to Uruguay first, but he expects this one to go through soon.
The reporter adds that Torreira will be Arsenal’s last major signing of the summer, and that the club will now instead target an unnamed young player for the future as their next addition.

It’s been a busy transfer window for the north London giants, who have delivered the signings of Bernd Leno, Stephan Lichtsteiner and Sokratis Papastathopoulos for new manager Unai Emery.
Torreira should be another promising purchase in midfield, especially with Jack Wilshere leaving the club at the end of his contract.
