Chelsea prepare tempting offer to hijack Zinedine Zidane’s advanced talks with another club

Chelsea are reportedly ready to go all out to hire Zinedine Zidane as their replacement for struggling manager Maurizio Sarri.

The French tactician has been out of work since leaving Real Madrid at the end of last season, in which he celebrated winning a third Champions League final in a row.

Clearly one of the best in the world and also a big name from his playing days, it’s easy to see why Zidane could be seen as a major upgrade on Sarri, who has never won a trophy in his career.

The Italian tactician’s side are currently going through a rotten patch of form away from home, losing 2-0 to Arsenal, 4-0 to Bournemouth and 6-0 to Manchester City in their last three Premier League away games.

According to Don Balon, Chelsea are prepared to do what it takes to land Zidane despite his ‘very advanced’ talks to take over at Juventus.

Zinedine Zidane to Chelsea to replace Maurizio Sarri?

The 46-year-old will supposedly be offered a ‘blank cheque’ to take the reins at Stamford Bridge, plus a high level of control of all matters with the team, according to Don Balon.

The report also notes Chelsea hope this move can help them keep Eden Hazard from leaving the club for Real Madrid.

Juve, however, may be by far the more tempting option for a leading manager right now due to their world class squad of players, Serie A dominance, and Champions League football.

Chelsea just don’t boast those kinds of resources right now, with Sarri’s poor work meaning the Blues currently look unlikely to finish in the top four this season.
