Who will be Newcastle’s Robinho signing? Man Utd & Man City stars among potential transfer targets after takeover

Posted by

Gareth Bale

A huge name, even if he’s now past his peak, Gareth Bale makes perfect sense for Newcastle right now, and surely has enough in him to provide them with a few memorable moments over the next few years. Real Madrid surely won’t be keeping the Wales international for much longer, and we’re not sure many other top sides around England or Europe would take him right now, or at least not for the kind of wages he’d want.

Paulo Dybala

Another very Robinho-esque player, Paulo Dybala is a big name who no longer seems to be doing the business for Juventus. The Argentina international is also nearing the end of his contract, so this might not even be that expensive for Newcastle, while Juve would surely be happy to avoid losing him on a free. Should have it in him to score maybe 10-15 goals a season and create a buzz around NUFC, even if he’s not really in that top tier bracket of player anymore.

Paulo Dybala to Newcastle?

Wilfried Zaha

Finally, a name we’re also seeing a fair bit of is Wilfried Zaha, which could be a pretty sensible signing. The Crystal Palace forward will no doubt be keen for a new challenge, but it seems increasingly clear now that the traditional big six just aren’t quite convinced enough by him to pay the big bucks. Step forward, Newcastle, who would surely see him as a major upgrade on what they have, and a proven big name in the Premier League to excite their supporters.
