Arsenal submit improved offer for 21-year-old attacker

Arsenal have submitted an improved offer for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk.

That’s according to a recent report from GOAL, who claim the Gunners have stepped up their efforts to sign the highly-rated 21-year-old.

The Premier League leaders are desperate to add to their attacking options and appear to have identified as Mudryk as their top priority. However, after valuing the Ukraine international at a similar price to the £100m Man City paid Aston Villa for Jack Grealish 18 months ago, Shakhtar are putting up a good fight when it comes to the prospect of losing their talented number 10.

Seemingly determined to land the young winger, Arsenal, who have already seen a £55m bid rejected, are now believed to have gone back with an improved offer, although the Gunners’ bid is still below the £90m Shakhtar are hoping for.

Fans will now need to wait to see if the Londoners’ latest offer is good enough for Shakhtar to give the green light because agreeing to personal terms are not believed to be a problem, so should their bid be accepted, the proposed deal should be relatively easy to conclude.

Since being promoted to Shakhtar’s first team at the start of 2021, Mudryk, who has four years left on his deal, has gone on to feature in 44 matches, in all competitions, directly contributing to 29 goals along the way.
