“I don’t know what they have seen in him” – Pundit slams Chelsea summer signing

Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly has been heavily criticised by pundit Jamie O’Hara after a poor start to life at Stamford Bridge.

The Senegal international joined the Blues from Napoli in the summer, having been a top performer for many years in Serie A.

However, it’s fair to say that Koulibaly has so far struggled to settle and take that form with him to the Premier League, with O’Hara singling him out as a particularly poor performer for this Chelsea side at the moment.

Graham Potter’s side look to be struggling in general right now, with a number of players all over the pitch looking a long way from their best.

Koulibaly is undoubtedly one of them, with O’Hara admitting he’s struggling to work out what persuaded the west Londoners to sign him.

“They look weak in midfield, weak upfront. If it wasn’t for Thiago Silva I would say they were poor at the back. Thiago Silva is an absolute Rolls Royce,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.

“Kalidou Koulibaly – I don’t know what they have seen in him. because I think he’s miles off it.

“The rest of them, I’m not convinced at all. Bang average.”

O’Hara added that this Chelsea side generally looks average and will probably finish 7th in the table, with Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle likely to finish above them.

He said: “I think Newcastle stay in there with the players they have got. Man United fifth, Tottenham sixth, and Chelsea seventh.”

That seems far from good enough for CFC after the amount of money they’ve invested in big-name signings in recent times.

  1. Dont often agree with o hara spurs knobhead but on this occasion 100% right shame he left out harry potter totally out of his depth.

  2. I thought that a choice between Graham Potter and Potchettino was a poor choice, however, I was happy that the Chelsea owners chose Potter as I witnessed how Potch had seemingly allowed the likes of M’Bappe, Neymar and Verratti to run the show at PSG showing absolute weakness, however, when the news leaked out that the Chelsea ownership had fallen out with Tommy Tuchel and subsequently fired him over differences of opinion over, for example, whether to sign of CR7, I have become angrier and angrier over their bad decision making, so we lost what was to be a bright future if Tommy Tuchel could have been left to Coach and be given the respect of being a major voice as the head coach/manager, perhaps we would be in a very different place right now. I’ve not seen any improvement with Potter, in fact, I see Chelsea FC when playing football as a team with no direction, no belief, and no enthusiasm, while limp and clueless Potter stands on the pitch side with arms crossed with seemingly no idea and offers nothing, then he’ll sub in players and play them out of position, during his pre and post-match interviews he offers no hope, he seems lost and quite frankly I’m embarrassed to watch Chelsea play football at the moment because they’ve become under Graham Potters watch a bang average football team at best, we’re told to trust in the process, are you having a laugh, the Prem is a living breathing Monster that needs to be fed WINS or it will devour you and at the end of the season will take its seasonal dump and leave you steaming in the Championship! The Prem is not a place where we can sit and watch the flowers grow, Potter needs to GO today, not tomorrow but today!

  4. Graham Potter and Chelsea haven’t had the start to the hoped-for Premier League, and the rumors are already that the results must improve if Potter wants to keep his job.
