Premier League ref seems to have made a key error in West Ham game

West Ham United were comprehensively beaten by Brentford in their last Premier League outing but it seems that referee Darren England might have made a crucial error in the game.

It seems that West Ham should have been awarded a penalty when Mathias Jensen took out Craig Dawson in the box. However, England decided not to award the Hammers a spot kick.

West ham have had a dismal campaign so far and a penalty at that stage of the game could have been priceless for them. It could have helped the London club fight back and David Moyes will certainly feel disappointed with the decision.

Upon careful review, it seemed that Jensen made a clumsy tackle in the box and the West Ham defender should have been awarded a penalty.

Meanwhile, Moyes is thought to be under tremendous pressure after a poor start of the season and it will be interesting to see if the Scottish manager can transform the fortunes of his side during the second half of the campaign.

West Ham are outside of the drop zone based on goal difference right now and a club of their stature will be expected to do a lot better.
