Exclusive: Fabrizio Romano names four players who will be most important in Man City vs Arsenal “title decider”

Tonight is the big one – Manchester City take on Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium in what many are billing as a potential Premier League title decider.

Fabrizio Romano, writing in his exclusive CaughtOffside column, shares the view that this game will ultimately settle the title race, and named four players he expected to be key in deciding the outcome on the night.

While there are world class players in both squads, Romano expects it will be the main men in midfield and attack who will be the most important to managers Pep Guardiola and Mikel Arteta this evening.

Looking ahead to tonight’s big match, Romano said: “I think tonight’s big game will be a title decider, too important for both also the impact of the result and not just the result itself.

Erling Haaland scored against Arsenal earlier this season

“Two of the most important players will obviously be Erling Haaland and Bukayo Saka; I think midfielders will be absolutely crucial as well, especially Thomas Partey and Rodri, their work will be so important in this kind of game and I can’t wait to see how this one pans out – it has the potential to be a classic.”

Haaland and Saka certainly have it in them to change a game in an instant up front, while there’s no doubt it’ll be important for Thomas Partey or Rodri to win control of that midfield area.

City are chasing a third title victory in a row, while Arsenal are hoping to end a 19-year wait to lift the trophy.
