Liverpool plotting ambitious £75 million move for technically gifted playmaker

Liverpool have been linked with a number of midfielders in recent months and the Inter Milan star Nicolo Barella is reportedly on their transfer radar.

The 25-year-old is undoubtedly one of the best central midfielders in Italy and he has been a key player for his country as well.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly an admirer and the Reds could submit an offer of around €85 million (£75m) to sign the Italian international at the end of the season as per FC Inter News.

However, they will have to convince the player to move to Anfield. Apparently, Barella is keen on staying at Inter Milan beyond this season.

Liverpool need to bring in a quality central midfielder who will add composure, control and technical ability to the side.

The likes of Jordan Henderson have regressed massively and players like James Milner, Nabi Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will leave the club on free transfers. It is clear that Liverpool are in need of a rebuild in the middle of the park and they will have to bring in multiple reinforcements.

They have been linked with players like Jude Bellingham and Alexis Mac Allister as well. Barella would be a cheaper option compared to the likes of Bellingham. The 19-year-old England international is likely to cost a club record for this summer.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool can convince the player to move to the Premier League this summer.

Barella has the technical ability and tactical intelligence to succeed in the Premier League, and his style of play is likely to be a good fit for Liverpool as well. The midfielder has eight goals and eight assists to his name across all competitions this season.
