Manchester United

Erik ten Hag: “We want David de Gea to stay here at Manchester United and we want him to extend his contract. We want him to be with us also next season.”

Negotiation over new deal advancing in the last month. De Gea wants to stay and Man Utd want to keep him and hope to agree terms on a new salary.

There have been questions on Harry Maguire’s future, but no talks yet on the club or player’s side. When there was interest in January, it was a ‘no’ from Manchester United because they wanted to keep the player and not to change the squad. United and Maguire decided to wait until the summer to decide the best way to proceed, and so there will be talks at the end of the season, but not now. The same is true with Victor Lindelof, he’s doing very well and Erik ten Hag said ‘no’ to interest from Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid in January.

Napoli

Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti: “I’m grateful to the club as they’ve triggered the option to extend my contract until June 2024. Our director Cristiano Giuntoli’s already working on the squad and signings for the next season as we need to work in advance.”

Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli: “Don’t worry about the future as with Aurelio de Laurentiis as president, there’s always gonna be a great Napoli”.

Juventus are pushing to appoint Giuntoli as new Director of Football as soon as possible — talks already took place.

Real Madrid

Luka Modric confirms: “My idea is to continue here at Real Madrid, for sure. This club is my whole life, Real Madrid is my whole life.”

Eden Hazard on his future: “Honestly, I’m planning to stay at Real Madrid next season. I expect to stay as I want to celebrate the last year of contract I have left.”

Marco Asensio on his contract expiring in June: “Staying in Madrid? I don’t know…”

Real Madrid have already made an opening proposal to Asensio, and are waiting to discuss more details soon.

Florentino Perez: “Vinicius Junior is the best player in the world in his position. We should defend players who produce something special like him. Rodrygo is very, very good player… and he’s still so young. He’s gonna give Madrid fans lot of fantastic years.”

Roma

AS Roma are closing in on a deal to sign Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar as a free agent. There’s an agreement in principle, waiting on contract to be signed in the next days. Aouar’s contract will be valid until June 2028 and it’ll be a done deal soon.

Tottenham

Harry Kane is a big fan of his new teammate, saying: “Pedro Porro is fantastic. He’s got a great delivery.”

The club were convinced since January that Pedro is going to be a crucial player for present and future after investing €45m fee to sign him.

Wolves

There’s been a story about a possible swap deal involving Ansu Fati and Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves. Jorge Mendes, Fati’s agent, has been in Barcelona in recent days to discuss his client’s future. He’s a very creative agent and every summer he tries to find his best solutions for players and clubs. Still, at the moment, there is absolutely nothing agreed between Barca and Wolves – Fati would love to stay where he is, but it’s normal for those close to him to discuss options for his future, especially if he’s going to be on the bench and not playing. From Barcelona’s point of view, if they receive an important offer for the player they could allow him to leave this summer. At the moment, though, there is no green light for a swap deal with Wolves. Neves has been discussed internally, but he’s not a priority for Xavi. Neves is one of many options, but the priority in January was Sofyan Amrabat, though that is still not currently advanced either. Financial Fair Play and Lionel Messi’s future will be key for Barca.
