Manchester United have invited Amad along to join and support the squad during this season’s FA Cup final against rivals Manchester City.
That’s according to a recent report from the Manchester Evening News, who claim Erik Ten Hag is eager to include the young Ivorian attacker in his side’s potential FA Cup celebrations.
Although Amad, 20, will not be in line to feature against Manchester City on June 3 after spending the season out on loan with Championship side Sunderland, Ten Hag is believed his gesture to invite the 20-year-old along to Wembley will help assure the attacker that he is included in his plans next season.
Amad has enjoyed a fine campaign, and after his wonder strike against Preston North End last weekend helped secure the Black Cats’ place in the playoffs, his season isn’t over yet.
Set to play Luton Town on May 13 in the playoffs’ first semi-final, Amad will be hoping he can contribute again to the northerners’ bid to return to England’s big time.
As for what the future may have in store for Amad, following an excellent campaign that has seen him score 13 goals in 37 Championship games, he could very well be expected to provide some much-needed competition for the likes of Antony and Jadon Sancho in the Red Devils’ first-team.
Amad should be integrated into the main team without delay. They should make him a supporting striker to Harry Kane when he is eventually signed from Tottenham.
Rather than spend outrageously on a single midfielder, they should give Hannibal Meijbri and Iqbal Zidane opportunities to develop. Both players have potentials to form a deadly partnership in the middle of the park.
We need him next season bcz he will add qualities to our team.
