Tottenham player ratings: Son and Maddison run the show again as Spurs return to top of the league

Tottenham managed to beat Fulham 2-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to return to the top of the Premier League

Spurs won 2-0 with goals coming from Son Heung-min and James Maddison to secure the victory and three points.

Read on for our Tottenham player ratings, and who stood out for the lilywhites…

Guglielmo Vicario – 7 – Vicario made three saves, all coming from inside the box, and also made one high claim. He kept the clean sheet and did his job.

Destiny Udogie – 6 – Udogie was subbed off after 56 minutes, didn’t do anything wrong but didn’t stand out.

Micky van de Ven – 7 – van de Ven made five clearances, one interception and two tackles. He was really solid at the back and provided a great base for Spurs to attack with freedom.

Christian Romero – 7 – Romero was also extremely solid with van de Ven, making two clearances, one interception and one tackle. He also managed one key pass and made 104 out of his 113 passes.

Pedro Porro – 7 – Porro was effective dropping into midfield areas to get on the ball and help Spurs play out, he made four out of four long balls and did his bit defensively with four tackles.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 7.5 – Was brilliant stepping in for Yves Bissouma, won five of his eight duels, played four accurate long balls out of five and protected the central defenders well with two interceptions and one tackle.

Pape Matar Sarr – 6.5 – Only played 62 minutes but was good in between the midfield lines for Spurs, picking up the ball and helping them progress. He made one key pass and had a 93% pass accuracy.

Richarlison – 7 – Richarlison saw quite a bit of the ball down his left side, getting three shots off (two off target and one being blocked) and managing one key pass. He also got the assist for Spurs first goal.

James Maddison – 8 – Heavily involved in everything Tottenham did well yet again, got the second goal for Spurs, had two shots on target, made four key passes and ran the show.

Dejan Kulusevski – 6.5 – Saw a lot of the ball down the flank but couldn’t produce much with it, had one key pass played and had two shots blocked, but could have done more.

Son Heung-min – 9 – Scored the first and assisted the second for Tottenham, making the difference in attack yet again. Also played four key passes and completed three out of four dribbles.
