West Ham preparing search for David Moyes’ replacement

West Ham United are reportedly set to begin their search for David Moyes’ successor.

That’s according to a recent report from Football Insider, who claims the Irons’ hierarchy are planning to identify possible replacements for the Scotsman.

Moyes’ contract with the club runs out at the end of the season and there is thought to be little desire on either side to negotiate an extension.

Obviously, failure to agree a contract renewal will see the former Everton and Manchester United boss released from the club he returned to in 2019.

Reports the Hammers are preparing for the 60-year-old’s departure may come as a surprise to some fans. Although the Londoners, who sit mid-table after nine games, haven’t started this campaign as well as they would have hoped, last season’s remarkable Europa Conference League trophy win should have allowed the Scot plenty of credit in the bank, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Possible candidates to succeed Moyes have not been named, but one thing is for sure, the Hammers’ next set of fixtures, which include a Europa League group game against Olympiacos, could be season, as well as career-defining, for their manager.

  1. Moyes needs to get a grip he needs to drop Antonio and start kudus in the striker position he has played that position before from time to time with Bowen and Jwp and the rest of the midfield and wingers he would score a hat full we also have a player who is waiting to prove himself on the pitch but Moyes doesn’t seem to want to play him he can’t be any worse than Antonio and ings they are both really not good enough for the premier league I say pull your finger out and forget about being loyal to players that are not good enough it may raise a few eyebrows but it would see a major improvement on what is going on now

    1. 100 per cent correct ! I would like to see a few of the youngsters given opportunities! Especially divin muamba callum Marshall video kudua and Ollie scarles. This would bring much needed pace and energy to the team. If moyes won’t play the youngsters then he should leave as we need to be a progressive football club
