Jurgen Klopp has already decided what his next project will be after leaving Liverpool

When Jurgen Klopp departs Liverpool in the summer, he won’t wait a whole season to resume his career—at least not off the field.

The German manager said last month that the 2023–24 season will be his final one at Anfield, citing a want to take a break from the game and mental exhaustion.

Rather, the 56-year-old will work on a significant family project that will require him to get his hands dirty.

Two new residences are being built by Klopp according to The Express.

One is in Wiesbaden, his home town, which is close to Mainz and is where he began his management career.

He is obviously making plans for when he will have more free time, though. Having previously disclosed that his favorite vacation spot is the Balearic Island, Klopp is also building a property in Mallorca.

According to reports, the German residence is being built so that Klopp and his spouse Ulla, who became grandparents recently, can spend time with their family. But what’s really surprised him is the project overseas. “The bloody thing’s not even ready yet and I’m paying the bills,” he joked.

The opulent estate was purchased by Klopp for an astounding £3.4 million in June 2022 from Swiss businessman and artist Rolf Knie. However, Ulla has so far taken the lead in setting up the events because of his obligations on Merseyside.

Klopp is said to have told friends and family that he wants “to get stuck in” and assist expedite work because the project is running behind schedule. A multi-million pound state-of-the-art garden and an irrigation system are included in the building designs.

After taking over in October 2015, Klopp has spent more than eight years at Liverpool, where he has seen his team win every major title in both domestic and European competitions.
