But choosing De Zerbi would likely be a very smart move if they do decide to take a different route. His abilities in the Premier League have now been demonstrated. Furthermore, Brighton undoubtedly play some of the division’s most thrilling, high-octane football, exactly the kind of football that the Liverpool fans would love at Anfield.
His current club are evidently hopeful that they can persuade De Zerbi to commit to a long-term future with them before Liverpool have the opportunity to intensify their interest.
