Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Conor Gallagher at the end of the season and they have received a boost in their pursuit of the midfielder.
The 24-year-old will be sold in order to raise funds so that Chelsea can comply with the financial regulations. Although the player is highly rated by manager Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea’s hierarchy are prepared to go against his wishes and sell the player, as per Football Insider.
The development will come as a major boost for Tottenham, who will be encouraged to make a move for the midfielder now. Gallagher has established himself as a key player for Chelsea in the Premier League and he could improve Tottenham in the middle of the park.
Tottenham need more quality and depth in the midfield if they want to do well across multiple competitions and the 24-year-old Chelsea player could improve them instantly. He is well settled in English football and he would not need time to adapt to his new surroundings.

Tottenham are pushing for Champions League qualification and they will be looking to push for trophies next year. They must add more quality to the side and it remains to be seen whether they can get a deal for Gallagher across the line.
The 24-year-old Chelsea academy graduate will probably want to continue at his boyhood club but the situation is clearly out of his hands. It remains to be seen whether the Tottenham can convince him that a move to the North London club would be ideal for him.
Tottenham are unlikely to be the only club keen on Gallagher and there is likely to be considerable interest in the Premier League midfielder at the end of the season.

I can’t say if the story is true or not, although he is so central to Chelsea now that it would be a bizarre decision by the club. However, you are wrong that Chelsea has no problem complying with ffp – it’s a very serious issue inside the club.
