‘He will leave’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms Tottenham player will be sold

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has been unimpressed with one player and he is expected to be sold in the summer.

Tanguy Ndombele, the French midfielder, joined the Premier League club in a big money move but he has failed to impress.

The former Lyon midfielder has been loaned out a number of times by Tottenham but even those moves have not worked out for the 27-year-old.

After signing Ndombele from Lyon in 2019 for a club record sum of £63 million, Ndombele’s career has seen a downfall.

Speaking on the Chris Cowlin Podcast on YouTube, the well-known transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano declared that Ndombele is among the players who will undoubtedly depart the team this summer.

He said: “He will leave. That’s the idea. Obviously, I think it’s one to follow in the summer because, at the moment, it is still early to understand if there will be some opportunity in Europe or in a different market – that is a possibility.”

Tanguy Ndombele to leave Tottenham?

Ndombele is set to leave Tottenham

The midfield player’s deal with Spurs is set to expire in June of the next year, less than eighteen months from now.

While it’s too early to say where Ndombele will end up, Romano speculates that it’s probable he will leave Tottenham.

Considering the amount of money Spurs had to give up, Ndombele’s arrival to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium had supporters expecting great things.

He might be the worst signing for Tottenham

It may, however, have ended up being the most disappointing acquisition the team has ever made.

Ndombele is someone the Lilywhites hope to sell at the end of the season.

In the event that they are unable to find a buyer, the French international may leave the team for free next summer.

From what Postecoglou has seen of Ndombele during their brief encounter last summer, it appears that the manager is not impressed with the French midfielder.
