Crystal Palace handed major injury boost ahead of Man City clash

Crystal Palace have been handed a potentially significant injury boost ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game against Manchester City.

Winger Michael Olise, who has not featured since the start of February due to a hamstring injury, is reportedly in line to make his return.

According to a recent report from the Standard, Olise, 22, is ‘likely to return’ to the Eagles’ squad to face Pep Guardiola’s defending champions.

Saturday afternoon’s early kick-off, which will take place at Selhurst Park, will have huge implications in the race for this season’s Premier League title, and Olise’s suspected availability will undoubtedly make it harder for Guardiola’s men to take all three points.

Michael Olise is set to return from injury against Manchester City on Saturday.

Crystal Palace injury news: Michael Olise set to return

The Frenchman, who penned a new four-year deal last August, is arguably one of the country’s most exciting wide-attackers.

Despite struggling with injuries this season, the 22-year-old, who has played just 11 league matches, has still managed to score six and assist three goals.

Consequently, following his impressive run of form, Olise has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Manchester United (Football Transfers). His contract’s release clause is believed to be around £60 million — potentially huge profit for Palace, who paid Reading less than £10 million for him three years ago.

Saturday’s matchup in England’s captial, which is scheduled to kick off at 12:30 p.m. (UK time), will be broadcast live on TNT Sports.
