Goal machine might not play next season for Newcastle United

This summer is set to be a hugely important one for Newcastle United.

At present European football next season appears within reach but still has to be worked for, and where the Magpies finish this season is likely to author who they allow to leave and who they buy ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

There will be some players that might well be considered surplus to requirements though a player who has scored nine goals and supplied four assists in 23 games this season, per Area Napoli, surely has to be given the opportunity to impress.

Napoli could move for Newcastle on-loan ace Minteh

Yankuba Minteh is on loan from Newcastle at Feyenoord, and he’s been ripping it up in the Eredivisie.

It’s the kind of form that he’s shown during the 2023/24 season that seems to have piqued the interest of clubs including the Partnopei.

Yankuba Minteh heading back to Newcastle United?

At just 19 years of age, it appears clear that the teen has a bright future in the game, but whether he’s too green for the Magpies at this point in time will likely be seen in the summer.

Eddie Howe and the Saudi Public Investment Fund surely can’t fail to be impressed by the youngster’s numbers, though there’s little point in bringing him back to St. James’ Park if they’re only to utilise him sparingly.

It’s one of many decisions that the club have to make as soon as practicable after the season ends.

If the owners ultimately decide that one of the big names has to be dispensed with because of Financial Fair Play or otherwise, it potentially represents an opportunity for Minteh to be drafted in.

Should the club decide against it, then Napoli might fancy their chances of adding him to their roster of talent.
