Manchester United were held to a draw against Bournemouth in the Premier League yesterday.

The Red Devils did well to come back from behind to secure a point away against the Cherries.

A team of their quality should have won the game and the draw will have left the fans disappointed.

Bruno Fernandes scored a brace to salvage a point for his team yesterday.

Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho created the opening goal for Fernandes and he was involved in the opening goal for Bournemouth as well, as he gave up the ball during the buildup.

The winger was replaced at half time by manager Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United fan and presenter Mark Goldbridge felt the decision was harsh and the 19-year-old has been one of Manchester United’s better players this season.

Garnacho liked his tweets on social media fuelling controversy after the game.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was quite critical during his post-match presser as well and Goldbridge felt that the Dutchman subtly blamed the Argentine winger and it was uncalled for.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few days.

Alejandro Garnacho is crucial to Man United’s long-term project.

Previously, Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho fell out with the manager and he was eventually loaned out to Borussia Dortmund during the January transfer window.

Garnacho has been outstanding for Manchester United and they will hope the situation does not worsen between him and the manager.

The 19-year-old is a prodigious talent with a big future ahead of him and he could develop into an indispensable asset for the club. Erik ten Hag and the player will need to sort out their differences or misunderstanding if any exists.

Manchester United have struggled in the attack this season and players like Garnacho have stepped up multiple times throughout the season. The Red Devils must nurture him properly in the coming seasons.
