Newcastle stars agents pushing for a move away

The agents of Newcastle striker Callum Wilson are reportedly pushing to get the English international a move away from St. James’ Park in the summer.

As we approach the end of another Premier League season, it is fair to say that a lot of Newcastle fans will be underwhelmed, to say the least.

After qualifying for the Champions League last year and making it to a cup final, many expected the Magpies to kick on this season and maintain their status as a top-four club.

But with Eddie Howe’s side currently sitting in 6th place and 13 points behind fourth place Aston Villa, Newcastle fans will no doubt be disappointed with their season as a whole.

Although they will be quietly optimistic about some new signings in the summer, Howe could face the potential of having to sell some stars in order to help balance out FFP.

According to a report from Football Transfers, the club could sell English striker Wilson, with his agents reportedly pushing for a move away.

With the 32-year-old’s deal set to expire next year and with a worrying injury record, it could be in the club’s best interests to allow him to leave especially if it saves them from having to offload another player.
