Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has spoken out about the club’s plans in the transfer market ahead of his club’s first Premier League game of the new season tomorrow.
Spurs take on newly-promoted Burnley at home on Saturday at 3pm, with Frank taking charge of his first league fixture since replacing Ange Postecoglou as manager.
The Danish tactician did an impressive job at former club Brentford, and it will now be intriguing to see what he can do at Tottenham.
Spurs have signed the likes of Mohammed Kudus, Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel, but it seems Frank is expecting more names to come in.
Speaking at his press conference, Frank said he can see club chiefs working hard all hours of the day to bring new players in.

When asked into some insight into how things are looking behind the scenes at Tottenham, Frank was clear with his praise for the likes of Daniel Levy and Vinai Venkatesham.
“What I see internally is Daniel and Vinai working night and day to do what they can to strengthen the squad,” Frank said.
“I don’t think there’s one head coach that doesn’t want players in as early as possible, but I’ve also been in the game long enough – it’s not that easy.”
More attacking signings for Tottenham?
This comes as THFC continue to be linked with new signings, including a potentially hugely exciting move for Crystal Palace playmaker Eberechi Eze.
CaughtOffside have been told that the next couple of days looks likely to be crucial in the Eze to Spurs saga.
There have also been links with Savinho from Manchester City, with the north London giants surely in need of more new attacking players after Son Heung-min’s exit and the serious injury suffered by James Maddison.

Can anyone tell Me what Tel actually did in his loan spell to warrant a permanent transfer to the club. I really don’t see what he brings. That’s not just because of his penalty miss, he’s not the first and certainly won’t be the last to miss a penalty for Spurs. His general play, he just doesn’t excite me at all, and I don’t get the feeling something will happen when he gets the ball. Paying £40m for him was a total waste of money that could have been spent somewhere else.

Thomas, The protest tomorrow isn’t anything personal. The protest is at the clubs board and Daniel Levy for leaving the transfers we need too late, that’s if we get them at all. We never believe a word this club says, as we’ve been let down too many times.

I am more worried about the final condition going forward. Previously, we were not spending any money (e.g. in May we only had 5 players making > 100k GBP per week.
Arsenal had 18). Now we are bidding 60m – 100m to sign top players and getting rejected. Top players think we are skinflints. Levy’s reaction (Supporters will appreciate me when I am gone.) seems a bit unstable. What happens if we finish midtable? Does he sack Frank?
