Things are getting tasty at the top of the Premier League after Arsenal’s inability to beat Aston Villa allowed Manchester United and Chelsea to close in on the summit. However, it’s the champions who are best placed to take advantage of any more slip-ups from the Gunners, with The Sun reporting Edwin Van Der Sar is enjoying one of the most exciting title chases of recent seasons.
He said: “Every game is big now but that’s how you like it as a player.
“You want to be competing for trophies.
“If you have three games every week, it shows you’re doing something right.”
He added: “Things keep changing.
“We were five points behind a couple of weeks ago and thought it would be difficult because you’re relying on them dropping points.
“Thankfully for us they’ve drawn their last two games and we’re right back in there.”
Do Arsenal have it in them to motor ahead again and protect their lead at the top? Or is the worm finally starting to turn after disappointing results against the two Birmingham teams in the Premier League? With games to come at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge, things are looking ominous for Arsene Wenger’s men.
