Top clubs are informed on Marcus Rashford’s situation at Manchester United, according to transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano in his latest CaughtOffside column.
The Red Devils urgently need to sort out a new contract for Rashford, with Romano admitting it’s one of their top priorities at the moment, with the in-form England international’s current deal expiring in 2024.
It’s been a season to remember for Rashford, with the 25-year-old looking to be hitting the peak of his powers under new Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag.
Romano heaped praise on Rashford and made it clear he feels Ten Hag is the ideal coach for him, but it’s also not too surprising to hear that top clubs are perhaps keeping an eye on those contract talks.
With 24 goals in all competitions so far this season, it’s clear that Rashford is turning into an elite forward who could surely shine for a number of Europe’s biggest clubs if he were to leave Old Trafford.
“I’ve been so impressed by Marcus Rashford’s improvement this season, but it’s also not a huge surprise as Erik ten Hag is a fantastic coach and Marcus has always been a top player. It was matter of time, and he’s the best coach for him.
“Ten Hag really wanted Rashford as face of Man Utd project since day one. Of course top clubs are informed on the contract situation, but I’m also sure Man United will push again in the next months to get it done; it’s top priority.”
Other clubs can eye all they like, he’s United to the core and will never play for another club.
