Liverpool transfer target still wants to join the club even without Champions League football

Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister would reportedly still join Liverpool this summer even without Champions League football.

The Argentina international has been superb for Brighton this season and is surely now good enough to make the step up to one of Europe’s elite.

There’s no doubt that Liverpool would be an appealing destination in most years, but they have let their high standards slip a little this season, even if there is still a slim chance that they could make it into the top four.

Mac Allister will no doubt want to be playing in Europe’s top club competition, but at the same time it makes sense that he’d surely still Liverpool as the kind of step up he wants to make at this point in his career…

The 24-year-old would be ideal for Liverpool’s needs right now, so he could surely see himself having a key role to play at Anfield for many years to come.

And, in truth, it surely won’t be long before LFC are back in the Champions League and even competing to win it again, as they did back in 2019, and as they came so close to doing just last season.

  1. If He thinks about it, would he rather win the Europa League or be knocked out at the group stage of the Champions League?

  2. Where is the actual part from Mac Allister’s camp confirming this? Lazy journalism.
