Manchester City are confident the club have a future superstar on their hands.

That’s according to a recent report from Football Insider, who claims the Cityzens’ coaching staff believes Julian Alvarez is ‘ready to go to the next level’.

Having already ‘completed football’ after winning the treble with City last season, as well as lifting the 2022 World Cup with Argentina, Alvarez, 23, is widely regarded as one of the sport’s most exciting young forwards.

And after already netting seven goals in 14 games, in all competitions, this term, the 23-year-old, who is filling in for the injured Kevin De Bruyne, is shaping up to enjoy yet another impressive individual campaign.

Currently valued at around £80 million (TM), City fans will be delighted to hear the club have such high hopes for him.

And regardless of what the future has in store for Erling Haaland, after Alvarez recently agreed to a contract extension that will keep him at the Etihad until 2028, the club’s attacking line appears to be in safe hands.
