Ivan Toney to Arsenal, two Chelsea exits – 11 major transfers that could go through this January

Aaron Ramsdale

No longer number one at Arsenal, there’s surely a chance of Aaron Ramsdale leaving the club this winter. It has previously been claimed by football.london that an unnamed Premier League club made an offer for the goalkeeper, but as of yet it’s not clear precisely who’s interested in him or how likely a move is. With David Raya now ahead of Ramsdale in the pecking order at Arsenal, this seems like a good time to try a new challenge, and there would surely be plenty of teams ready to make him their first choice.

Martin Zubimendi

Another recent report from football.london has linked Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi as a player Arsenal really like. One complication here is that the report suggests a January move is not looking particularly likely, though he does have a release clause, which perhaps means things could get interesting if the Gunners really decide to push for this deal. With Thomas Partey so injury-prone, this would be a signing that makes a lot of sense for Mikel Arteta and co.

Johan Bakayoko

Johan Bakayoko has caught the eye with PSV

Johan Bakayoko was targeted by Brentford in the summer and Fabrizio Romano has told us that his situation could be open again ahead of January. The exciting Belgian attacker looks like he’d strengthen a host of top European sides, so it seems inevitable that we’ll see him get a big move sooner rather than later, whether that’s to the Premier League or another country.

Amadou Onana

A superb young midfielder who is surely going to be difficult for Everton to keep, we’ve seen Amadou Onana linked with Arsenal by the Mail, as well as with Man Utd and Chelsea by talkSPORT. Of course, Everton won’t want to let such an important player go in the middle of a relegation battle, but the player himself might be understandably keen to escape the difficult situation at Goodison Park and become a key player for a side competing at the other end of the table.

Santi Gimenez

Santiago Gimenez has been in superb form for Feyenoord this season and there have been links with a host of top clubs as a result. Fabrizio Romano has provided more detail on his future here, and it could be one worth keeping an eye on as so many top clubs will be in the market for a signing up front this January.
