Arsenal in the hunt for £80m ace that Pep Guardiola called “an incredible player”

The way that Arsenal are ripping up the rule book over the past few weeks, you’d forgive any player for wanting to wear the red shirt next season.

In their last five games in all competitions, they’ve won 6-0 away at West Ham and Sheffield United, beaten Burnley 5-0 at Turf Moor and Newcastle 4-1 at the Emirates. Their only defeat was to a 94th minute Sporting winner in the Champions League.

For all intents and purposes they are a team bang in form, and even if they don’t win the Premier League title that they clearly covet, there will be even more improvements to the squad once the transfer window opens.

Arsenal in three-way fight for Pedro Neto

One of those could be Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Pedro Neto, with the Midlands based side apparently ready to cash in on their star man.

According to Give Me Sport (h/t Fichajes), the Gunners could find themselves in a three-way fight for a player whom Pep Guardiola once referred to as “incredible” (talkSPORT).

North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, and Man United are also credited with an interest for the player, who is believed to be valued at around the £80m mark.

Arsenal want Pedro Neto

At just 23 years of age, Neto has already made a real name for himself in the Premier League, and with the majority of his career – including his supposed peak years – still ahead of him, he would arguably be an astute purchase for whomever is able to secure his signature.

  1. I agree with Rasheed, also we do not need a central striker, having said that Bierith is doing very well on loan. The only other position to cover is a DM
