With Trent Alexander-Arnold scheduled to begin the last season of his current contract at Anfield, Real Madrid are reportedly keeping an eye on his contract status at Liverpool.
According to reports, Alexander-Arnold and the Premier League club have not yet discussed extending his contract, which expires in the summer of 2025.

Liverpool have still not started contract talks with Alexander-Arnold
In 2021, he signed a new four-year deal with Liverpool, solidifying his position as one of the team’s most important players. However, rumour has it that no talks about him staying longer with his boyhood side have taken place.
According to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish giants are keeping an eye on his contract situation at Liverpool.
Although Liverpool have not shown a willingness to move the player, Los Blancos may feel more confident in their prospects if no talks happen before the new season begins.
Alexander-Arnold is allowed to talk with a foreign club about a pre-contract deal if no extension is agreed by January 2025. This means Liverpool have nine months to convince the academy product to pledge his long-term future to the team from Merseyside.
Liverpool involved in contract dilemma with more players
In addition to Alexander-Arnold, two more prominent Reds players have expiring contracts in 2025: Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
Given their age profiles, their contract situations are more complicated than Alexander-Arnold’s, and the Premier League club will be eager to resolve the right-back’s contract before the summer transfer market opens.
Given that Lucas Vazquez is an often unimpressive backup option and Dani Carvajal is 32, Real Madrid are probably going to seek right-backs this summer.
