Tottenham are making a determined effort to reunite Thomas Frank with one of his most trusted former players, Christian Norgaard.
Sources with close links to the agent industry have told CaughtOffside that Frank has identified the midfielder as a priority target to anchor his new-look side.
The midfielder flourished under the leadership of Frank at Brentford and the new Spurs manager is now ready to make him a part of his team again.
31-year-old Norgaard made 35 appearances for Brentford last season. He scored six goals and provided four assists.

The defensive midfielder is known for his tactical discipline, leadership qualities, and exceptional understanding of Frank’s system.
It’s no surprise then that Spurs believe he could play a central role in the club’s new era.
However, despite Tottenham’s growing interest, Brentford have so far refused to entertain the possibility of a sale.
The Bees have made it clear that they consider Norgaard untouchable, given his continued importance to their squad both on and off the pitch.
The North London club is preparing a bid in the region of £17–20 million, but even that may fall short of Brentford’s internal valuation.
Club insiders believe Brentford could deliberately inflate Norgaard’s price to ward off suitors or force Tottenham into a rethink.
Spurs are ready to make big changes this summer
Tottenham’s interest in Norgaard also comes amid plans to reshuffle their midfield, with Yves Bissouma expected to depart this summer.
Spurs are not the only club circling. AFC Bournemouth, Fulham, and Everton are also monitoring the situation, and could mount their own efforts to lure the Danish international away from west London.
For now, Tottenham’s pursuit of Norgaard is at a standstill, but in the next few weeks, it could all change.
Spurs are also edging closer to the permanent signing of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich this summer.

I find it a little concerning that much of the transfer focus for Spurs is currently on Frank’s former Brentford players like Mbuemo, Wissa, and now Norgaard. Forgive me here but surely the objective behind replacing Ange with Frank surely isn’t to recreate Brentford 2 but to strengthen Tottenham. Whilst other big rivals are seeking out high quality players Like Cunha, Frimpong, Marmadashvili. Cherki, and the likelyhood of Sesko and Gykores joining Arsenals ranks fairly soon, I once again question the level of Tottenham’s ambitions through Levy and Enic. Aside from deals which were already on the cards on Danso and Tel, Spurs are once again slow off the mark and already missing out on top targets. Of the three Brentford talents I would only focus on Mbuemo being exceptional (and he is already mooted to prefer a move to Man Utd) While Norgaard and Wissa are good players in general, do they really elevate Tottenham’s stature or quality to top level? I personally think not, and this is why I think the focus needs to be specifically aimed exclusively at high quality additions, players who are going to make a significant difference to the mindset and outward ability of the team. What happened with all the talk about Eze being a prime focus? I worry how Spurs seem to let so many top targets drift along the way side before we go and buy some lesser known players on the cheap and then wonder why things go side ways. Changing managers is only going to work if Tottenham wake up and change their behaviours overall else its just the same Sh*t different day!
