Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in signing the Brazilian midfielder Ederson from Atalanta at the end of the season.
According to Ben Jacobs, Arsenal are keeping tabs on the player, and he could cost around €50 million. Meanwhile, Manchester United have already contacted the player’s representatives regarding a move.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal can get a deal done. They need more quality and depth in the middle of the park, and the 26-year-old central midfielder would be a superb acquisition.

Ederson would improve Arsenal
He has shown his quality consistently at a high level, and he has the physicality and technical attributes for Premier League football as well. Ederson will help Arsenal control games better and tighten up defensively as well. He is a complete central midfielder and at the peak of his career. Joining a club like Arsenal would be the ideal next step for him.
The €50 million asking price seems reasonable for a player of his quality. If he adapts quickly to English football, he could justify the investment.
Manchester United have already initiated contact for the transfer, and it remains to be seen whether they submit an official proposal to get the deal done. Beating Arsenal to the signing will not be easy.
