Man United Breaking News

Ruben Amorim’s life at Manchester United is getting difficult with every passing week.

The Red Devils are currently 14th in the Premier League and at the weekend, they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Fulham at Old Trafford.

The form of his players has regressed under his leadership and looking at how they are playing, the dark days of Erik ten Hag are now looking impressive.

With Amorim unable to change anything at Man United, questions are being asked about his future at the club.

He joined them from Sporting where he was one of the favourites to win the league title with them but his move to Man United has not worked out and reports have emerged of the Red Devils looking at their options to replace the Portuguese manager.

According to Fichajes, Man United are considering their options to replace Amorim at the club.

His team’s poor run and his inability to improve the level of his players is forcing the club to think about a change at the top.

As per the report, Joachim Low, the World Cup winner with Germany, Julen Lopetegui, the former Real Madrid manager, and Massimiliano Allegri, the former AC Milan and Juventus manager are being considered by the Premier League giants.

There is a feeling among the hierarchy at the club and in the fans that Amorim has failed at the club and perhaps the club made the wrong choice by appointing him as the manager.

Amorim, who is unhappy at at the club, has to prove his pedigree in the final stages of the season to save his job at the club.

The Red Devils are still challenging to win the Europa League and if he manages to bring that silverware to the club, he may be able to save his job.

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery is another name being linked with the hot seat at Old Trafford.

  1. There are a number of options to replace Amorim who should never have been there from the start. Anyone with half a brain would see having just one card up your sleeve is not good enough for a manager today. His obsession and stubborn attitude puts him in the NFL quality of management. Another mistake which illustrates the weakness United have in ownership.

  2. the biggest mistake in united history. moyes was sack because he never improved the team. also Ten Hag but under the leadership of Ruben AMORIM, UTD has falling from grace to grass. appoint austin villas coach will be up grade the team

    1. too much been paid for over rated players who when they arrive at Manchester United they just can’t do it at all.
get rid off all this dead wood and start from scratch

    2. I totally agree with you. Time for management to look for replacement before other teams employed those better than Amorin. None of the current strikers can contribute much unless they are lucky on match days. Those that left on loans are performing better than our current players. Something is wrong with the management of MU.

    3. Come on guys…you can appoint a consortium of top trainers to this squad….you can not make a race horse from a donkey….lack of grinta, self respect, overpaid and lacking skills….75% of this squad….

    4. Seriously? he’s there since November with the pile of shite players that have been there for years and have thrown previous managers under the bus. It’s not the managers that are the problem it’s the players. You were probably one of these people that wanted Radcliffe instead of the Sheikh and are now complaining about him. Some fans are so fickle

    5. 1. Amorim did not want to join until the Summer .
      2. He’s trying to implement an identity to the team which they have not had in years .
      3. He only has 2 players who he has chosen. Dorgu and Heaven who both look good .
      4. the rest of the team are from previous managers .
      5. the players he has are not good enough to play his system.
      6. how much will it cost to pay him and his staff off . ???? and then start over again ???
      7. everyone knew there was no easy fix to Uniteds problems .
      8. the problems in United go all the way back to Fergies time and the arrival of the Glazers .
      9. what good manager is going to take on this mess with no real job security .
      10. he always said things would get worse before they get better.
      11. the players are at real fault here . most need to be replaced .

  3. big pity they didn’t stick with van Nistelrooy,
hopefully Man Utd will get worse, but escape
relegation, Leicester will go down, then hopefully
they can get rid of Amorim (how idiotic to have
gotten him in the first place as it should have been
obvious even before they got him that Man Utd
players cannot play his ridiculous system – eg Dalot,
defensive fullback his whole life must now operate
as an attacking winger, madness – nor does his system
suit Man Utd nor will it ever) and bring back van
Nistlerooy, who will get the best out of Man Utd players.

  4. We spent £208m last season under Ten Hag although we had no identity in our playing style just like Ole. If we had given that money to Amrin then I am sure he would have been able to buy some players to suit his style. So we have to stick with him until next season to see how we progress. We can’t just keep sacking angers after managers and let the Glazers get away with it. They should sell the club and move on

  5. the definition of insanity is to repeat your actions and expect a different result. United have wasted millions appointing and sacking managers. Amorim has been given 1 player to fix a squad that was failing Ten Hag. Fact is Ineos’s decision to buy in to United was a mistake. They can’t fix the club without removing the debt, a debt that belongs to the Glazers. It’s time for the fans to put pressure on the council and the Government to put a stall on the planned renovation of the area until proper owners are in situ at the club. we can’t keep allowing the leeches to Syphon millions from the club and the area around it.

    1. I absolutely agree and love what you’ve written. ManU top brass perfectly fits in Albert Einstein’s definition of foolishness.

We don’t have committed players except four or five. The rest offload and those who remain must agree to lower pay but earn bonuses for exceptional performance.

The owners for sure must move out and let a football-focussed ownership reign in or allow fans to have the majority shareholding.

    2. You want to sack a man you manipulated to accept an appointment in mid season? This club is destined for destruction and relegation!

  6. If you like, bring Ancelloti and Guourdiola.
As long as the Glazers and SJR are owners, the slide cannot be arrested for the rot is too deep. They have transformed United into a graveyard for world-class managers and players!

  7. I see every United game and saw most of them the last 45 years…we are missing A Stiles, Macari, Robbo, Keano, Scholes type of players….use your Academy youngsters…they are hungry, proud to wear that famous jersey…we will lose games..but they will grow …anyway we lose weekly lately…and as you visualise some players body language…the problem is obvious, is it not…

  8. You can bring Klopp to manage this current team and he will fail.
These players may have some ability, but they lack character and are only at united for the money.

Rashford is a typical example, played well for 1 season, got the big contract and then lost interest, his a dishonest person and getting rid of him was the best thing for the club.

Now to prove a point his suddenly making an effort, his a farce. No manager prior to emorim could get him to perform at maximum.

Majority of utd players are the in the same situation, just there to collect a salary.

If a striker can’t score an open chance,if a goal keeper keeps messing up,and defenders keep making mistakes and mid fielders don’t track back and go forward,is the manager to blame.

These players are selfish brats who don’t give a damn about the team.

  9. should try to play 4-4-2 again as I see utd is struggling to play 3-4-3 format … imagine playing 5 defenders with that 3-4-3 formation is disaster…

  10. Rebuild United with the academy boys and give the job to Pochoteno for long term project
